The Gail Yates Foundation is a 501(c)(3) exempt Tennessee nonprofit corporation whose mission is to support the Gail Yates Memorial Fund.  We created the Gail Yates Memorial Fund to share with others our mom’s passion for education. Over the course of eight years she taught first, second, and third grades at Hillcrest Elementary, and she was a substitute teacher for many years before that.  Our mom touched so many people during her life, and we are blessed to have this opportunity to reach even more people in her memory.  We established the Gail  Yates Foundation as a way to collect donations to be remitted to the fund, which purchases books for the school library and provides scholarships for children to participate in extracurricular activities, such as the Junior Beta Club and the annual trip for students who serve on the safety patrol.  This website highlights the ways in which the Gail Yates Memorial Fund is impacting the lives of students at Hillcrest Elementary – we hope you’ll take a look around and consider making a donation!
